Engineering

The technical office, the heart of A.C.M.’s design/engineering department, employs highly qualified personnel and uses the most advanced cutting-edge technologies to process any 2D/3D CAD format, from 3D STEP/IGES to 2D DXF/DWG. Working in synergy with customers, it offers consultancy and coordination for third-party production, and is always in contact with the customer to refine the part to be produced if necessary.

A.C.M.’s design/engineering department, equipped with constantly updated workstations, uses computerized 3D and 2D parametric CAD/CAM software to facilitate not only instant document updates but also the development of CAM process programs that transform drawings into CNC machine language.

For A.C.M., the concept of innovation stems from the thinking of dedicated people who aren’t content to simply execute, but instead continually improve themselves and the systems they use, engaging with new ideas and solutions capable of addressing problems and improving process efficiency. This is why A.C.M. is already active nationwide in Industry 4.0 and its related technological solutions, such as production management optimization with MES software for collecting production data from CNC machines and more, in order to monitor the progress of each project in real time.

The production facility brings together all the company’s departments in a single building, allowing us to manage our projects from design to completion with dynamism and flexibility. We ensure high quality standards, comply with safety standards, and comply with the relevant legislative provisions (Legislative Decree 81/08 (formerly Law 626/94), for which we issue relevant documentation and certification.

Production

The production department, the hub of A.C.M.’s construction, manufacturing, and assembly operations, is equipped with cutting-edge Fanuc/Heidenhain CNC machines, including 4- and 5-axis CNC milling machines and machining centers, CNC oxy-fuel/plasma cutting machines, and CNC bending machines, as well as GMAW/TIG CNC welding robots. The departments also feature sandblasting booths and painting systems.

The construction and manufacturing of metalwork and mechanical components is achieved through the synergy of the various departments, with competent and motivated personnel, including all our welders, who are certified to UNI EN ISO 9606-1 and ASME Section IX, ensuring high quality standards.

CARPENTRY AND WELDING DEPARTMENT

In its carpentry and welding department, ACM performs all production activities, from cutting, bending, rolling, punching, and calibration, as well as all assembly and welding activities, both manual and robotic.

In this specific sector, ACM has considerable experience in qualified welding processes for both carbon and stainless steels, as well as other more specialized materials such as nickel, copper, and titanium.

Our welders are qualified in accordance with both UNI EN ISO 9606-1 and ASME Section IX.

We perform the following Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in-house, both in accordance with ISO 9712:2012 and ASNT “Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A ed. 2019”:

  • Visual (VT),
  • Helium leak test
  • Liquid Penetrant (PT)
  • Magnetic Inspection (MT).
